Feeling more like a local :)

This Monday we had a little small group-fellowship time with some friends it was refreshing to be able to pray in a group and talk about Jesus. We had a couple people come in and out while we were talking and as soon as they heard Jesus, I think that scared them off and they went on their way. We met inside of our school building which was nice to have others be able to stop in and listen for a little bit. All that met on Monday are believers accept one of our friends and it's great that she feels open enough to come and participate even though her views are different.
Tuesday was full of great conversation. I went out to lunch (almuerzo $2.25!) with two awesome friends, Flo and Tallie. Flo is full chinese and is from New York. Tallie, a cute little black haitian, is from Delaware. In Ecuador its normal to sit around after a meal, chat and catch up around the table. The waiter won't bring the bill until you ask for it, such a nice change. So us girls ended up chatting for over three hours after we ate. So nice to have girls that can be real and be open.:) Our group is phenomenal and I think because we are all experiencing so much with living in the house family, struggling with the differences that as a group we bond together so much more. We cling to each other as family and have such a common ground of just wanting to be together.
After catchin up with the girls my friend John wanted to talk about world views and religion. He knew I was a christian and wanted to ask about my faith. So with that being said this talk also went over three hours. I spent my entire day in a coffee shop and in a beautiful courtyard talking with friends. This talk with John was extremely intense and I'm afraid that I may of stepped on his toes with my brutal honesty addressing his questions...but I'm glad that I was honest.  Please pray for John and the non believers in our group and within our school.
Wed-we went out to lunch as a group ( our normal wednesday lunch) had some friends come over before and walk the 30 min there and back..We all went to a big museum today. I had already been but it was still pretty swell. Later jenny, kerry and I took a dance class by my house. Than Inca Lounge always has open mike night wednesdays and we cruised on over for some great music.:) One of my new favorite places
